The 2006 Lean Management Thinking Programme enabled Terex to reduce Inventory costs by £2m. They also deployed 22 Terex Improvement Projects (TIP) in workshop areas which led to £100k labour savings. They have reduced lead times from 14 days to 1 day on one production line and have now identified 2006-2007 cost savings of £1.5m to Master Scheduling activities.
