Focusing on the UK Planning side of the business, the Lean Team analysed the Distribution Unit scanning, indexing and publishing processes for Local Authority planning documentation. Value Stream Mapping identified inefficiencies and highlighted where the errors were generating over £23k cost per month. The company could now see where they were going wrong and were able to address the problems. In 2004-2005 IDOX built a new server, developed new processes, relocated equipment and defined new roles dedicated to quality.
